Description of CoolerGuys 10W Solar Powered Dual Fan Kit: Efficient 🌞 Cooling Solution for Small Chicken Coops, Greenhouses, Doghouses, Sheds, and More

HIGHER AIRFLOW/LOWER NOISE: Updated blade and motor designs allow this to put out 138 cubic feet per minute with a noise level of 34db. That's equivalent to little more than the ambient noise of a library. Padded corners help dampen any vibration noise when mounting. ENVIRONMENTAL RESISTANCE: IP67 design technology allows this to be completely dustproof and waterproof (rated to be submerged up to 1m for 30min). LONG LASTING: Dual ball bearings give a long projected lifespan of up to 67,000 hrs--that's over 7 years. Backed by manufacturer with a 3 year warranty. BARREL CONNECTOR: The solar panel has a barrel female connector and a native 12v regulator on it to reuse solar panel for a variety of other barrel 5.5mm x 2.1mm. Must be in direct sunlight to operate. RECOMMENDED MAX GREENHOUSE SPACE: 414 cubic feet (L X W X H).

Don't buy this. on Solar & Wind Power

Yes, it's solar power, but the air it releases is lousy. Would I recommend it to everyone? NO! A friend of mine actually wanted to get one, but I advised her against it. Also, it would be nice to have instructions. UPDATE: THIS PIECE OF SHIT STOPS WORKING

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Works great here in the White Mountains AZ

I have a Harbor Freight 10x12 greenhouse. I'm in the White Mountains of Arizona. I have two out of two fans. The photo shows that I installed spacers. I like that the fans only run when the sun is shining. They slow down as needed when a cloud passes overhead. I actually installed another fan that pulls out twice as much heat because I'm in the high desert, but it's at the thermostat and the battery. I like the photocells for these fans.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

My chickens love it! Springs move like crazy, safe and inexpensive!

I installed this on the side of the chicken coop. it's over 90 here for most of the summer and I wanted to give them some air. and it was great. I installed it, took it outside, attached it to the chicken coop with zip ties and voila! it works! I've been contemplating getting another one for my garage vent. because the airflow is so good! I was skeptical. I love it! Buy and it's safe. without cables, without electricity!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not trendy

The perfect package for moving air with solar energy!

I've read some reports of insufficient CFM air movement. Those fans and solar panel are working as they should. They are thin cupcake fans and move air without kicking up dirt. We installed them in our rabbit hutch and they are just what we needed. CFM measures the amount of air moved per minute. The higher the number, the more air. .These are blowers, not all fans blowing back hair like a hurricane! For our needs this package is perfect!

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Something else

The perfect solution for a warm room!

I have a shed that creates an unwanted greenhouse effect when the sun hits it. I found this solar fan kit and am very glad I did. The fans turn on when the sun hits the solar panel and I need hot air to go outside. For little fans, they are surprisingly powerful. It gives me added pleasure to hear how they work when I need them most. There's a side window that I open to speed up airflow. Installation was easy and customer support is always there when you need it.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • No Instructions

Keep looking if it's not something very small

Hello, little tip, build your own. This item claims to fit 414 cubic feet. Well I have a 10x6x6 shed that is 360 cu ft and 54 cu ft less than advertised. Also full in the sun and the fans start running but any clouds and fans stop. I personally think it's good for a 40cf or 3x4x4 kennel. Well it's a joke. I'll add another solar panel and see if that improves the runtime of the fan. I would like to return this product but the packaging was thrown away. Not happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Available in white only

Not worth $60 and not suitable for use in small greenhouses!

Definitely not what I expected after deciding to buy based on other reviews. Firstly, it comes completely disassembled, not to mention that the box wasn't even sealed with tape but with a rubber band? Well it was easy enough to assemble but one of the connector cables had a wire completely cut off, it wasn't necessary but not very professional as in my eyes as a consumer. But when I put them in my greenhouse, the wind literally stops the fan. Not what I would recommend for this type of…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Protection

Not impressive and not helping as intended.

I received this for my chicken coop which is covered and fairly enclosed. It doesn't matter so I can't say it was even worth the money. I can stand right in front of it and barely feel both fans. It's about as powerful as a computer fan. So if you want to cool a computer or a very small, tight space it will do, but don't expect it to move air otherwise. Also, I was expecting it to be assembled given its size, but I had to fully assemble it. I even had to make my own mounts to hang it and tilt…

Pros
  • Annual Trial
Cons
  • No Automatic
