The seam is boring

I want to love this hat so bad, but the stitching hurts my ears. I am bald and wear this hat in sunny weather. The material is clearly superior to other products, but the stitching prevents this rating from getting a 5*.

Husband loves it - women

Bought for my bald husband who enjoys swimming in the open sea. This protects him - he never gets burned and doesn't need to wear sunscreen. Fits snug and snug (quite stretchy) and doesn't feel like it's going to fall off. He loves to. I'm glad we got it.

A good alternative to the conventional bathing cap.

Lightweight, comfortable compared to a real swim cap. I can easily swim easy laps and hang out in the pool without worrying about my hat getting wet. I have skin cancer concerns and need to keep my scalp covered and this works great for that. I would not recommend it for serious lap swimming.

Blocks UV [as rated] and keeps head cool under a hat which may be perforated

Hot in my experience. Bought one for my dad who has had skin cancer problems from too much sun over the years. He likes hats with lots of perforations to keep him cool. a combination of a well-ventilated hat or cap and a black coolibar underneath! So I bought one. It must be for the coolness; As far as heat is concerned, its purpose is not to keep the head warm, but to cool it.
