Unsurpassed reliability of GPS bike navigators

I have aero bars that don't fit the standard external mount that clips around the bar near the stem. I was worried I wouldn't be able to properly tighten the stem faceplate with this bracket, but it worked fine after I put the extension on my torque wrench. The washer bushings are aluminum rather than plastic, so they won't compress or deform when you tighten the bolts. It's installed on a Cervelo Aspero that has been riding rough pavement and gravel for a month, often with the NiteRider light…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Avoid stalks upwards.

Simple design mount that works well with a downward facing stem. Initially my stem was in the drop position and the mounting angle was perfect. Later I wanted to raise the handlebars and had to turn the stem to the "raise" position. Unfortunately, the mount now protrudes past the handlebars and is at an odd angle that looks out of place on my bike, basically "aero". Version with adjustable angle. That's why I docked the star. The description should be honest, which only works well in one…

Pros
  • Sleek design

  • Good but not great

Great durable mount - GPS, viewfinder and accessories

I chose this as an economical alternative to another universal external mount that costs three times as much and requires an additional fee for the Go Pro mount. I wanted to clean the handlebars and put the Wahoo and headlight on the same stem mount. Unfortunately Garmin has more options than Wahoo. I found this and was very happy with the price, solid aluminum construction, and aesthetics (for the most part). My only concern is that versatility/adjustability comes at the expense of a small gap

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Bracket has a long slot to accommodate stem bolts with a wide range of spacing. Two black aluminum washers go into this slot and for one thing they fit well as the washers are 8mm in diameter and the slot is around 8.15mm high. There are two problems: First, soft aluminum spacers will be deformed a lot. when the screws are tight. In my setup, the screws were tightened to exactly 5Nm using a Ritchey precision torque wrench. See the first photo of the mushroom spacer. Second, warped spacers…

Inclination angle not adjustable

Reliable block, precisely centered on the handlebar. That is, assuming your steering wheels are centered. Two issues compared to other similar mounts. First, it's difficult to install, with two longer bolts replacing the top (or bottom, your choice) mounting bolts on the front of the stem. There are spacers that you have to fiddle with and then the handlebars have to be tilted back to their original position. Just a hassle compared to others like the Garmin side mount which has a small set that
