Corsair is King: Computer Components

Received this as part of my new computer that was built last Thanksgiving. I have to say this is a great article. I've only ever used Corsair for my PSU and they've never let me down. However, I was a bit upset to discover that I had bought a semi-modular rather than a FULLY modular one. I always recommend the fully modular option (all cables are separate, which makes cable maintenance easier), but I will say that you won't be disappointed if you choose not to go fully modular or screw it up…

Quiet, efficient with internal power supplies

I've never had anything from this brand but it works very well. I needed an efficient, gold-standard power supply that was quiet and matched the color scheme I'm aiming for. It performed admirably and I like the quiet, efficient power. It seems to be working without any problems. The price is about average. I recommend this particular gold rated power supply model.

Great PSU for gaming

I originally purchased this PSU for a mid-range PC built from the ground up. It didn't have to be crazy; just the i5-8400 and Nvidia RTX 2060, along with the fans that came with the case I bought, so 650W seemed like enough headroom. Then at the last second I changed my mind and bought an RTX 2080 instead and after the i5-8400 became a bottleneck I upgraded to an i7-9700k which overclocked quickly to 5GHz on all 8 cores. For those of you following, the 2080 recommends a PSU of at least 650W…
