Simply cut to length and wear this morning. Appears to be well made from the materials described. I can't speak to the buckle as I used my old one and kept the new one as a backup. Let's see how well it holds up. Don't expect an early failure, let alone a catastrophic one.

I wasn't sure what to expect from so many different reviews. However, this product met all my expectations. It's not as strong as I remember from my army belts, but those memories go back too far. Overall this is exactly what I expected and I'm looking forward to finally having a comfortable and durable belt. Thanks for a great product. By the way, this belt was black, and I have olive green coming up.

I ordered one in olive and was so excited that I ordered 3 more in different colors. The strap is strong, well made and easily cut to the perfect length. The buckle is also good and keeps the band securely in place.

High quality buckle, easy to fasten and open, just like any high quality military style buckle. People complain that it doesn't work or opens unintentionally, they probably don't know how to use the buckle.

I've been looking for a classic hip belt for many years. This is an amazing belt. It's lightweight and sturdy. As an added bonus - MADE IN THE USA!

I'm glad I finally found a military belt for my husband. The belt buckle seems to hold up and feels solid. It was only worn for a week, time will tell.

The strap is too thin, after that the buckle doesn't hold and the belt slips off. I compared it to a military belt which is much thicker and holds up well. I've also used military style buckles and the same thing happens. It appears to be a cheap imitation and not military grade.

As someone who grew up in the 80's, I remember these belts being everywhere. Some were better than others. For the price this is a fair offer. But they don't hold as tight as I had hoped. I mainly use them in my woodworking workshop. I often have to adjust them.

I love this belt - it lies flat so there are no bulges like other similar belts. This is a much better belt compared to others.

I've bought a few everyday woven straps lately and always felt the quality wasn't up to par. The belts do not close properly and have to be constantly tightened. The buckles are cheap and the belt itself was flimsy. I don't expect good service from these cheap belts. Thought I'd risk taking an American made Thomas Bates belt to compare the quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find a much thicker and stiffer strap with a stronger buckle. I wore the strap all day and never had to tighten it…

I play golf 4-5 times a week and have long been disappointed with the belts I buy use my pants/ golf shorts. I don't want to use my top shelf straps. The middle shelf and bottom shelf straps that I kept buying didn't hold up and/or didn't work. I found these military belts and bought two - black and brown. PERFECT. I wore this type of belt in the military for 20 years. They're simple in design, but they're rugged and work great.
