What was I thinking? Not airtight, and due to the small size, there is no space inside to install a carbon filter. I plan to replace it with a $3 a gallon plastic bucket with a lid from the paint department at the local hardware store, combined with the above filter. Total = same price as this capacity. Only Dif keeps the bucket under the sink, not on the counter.

My wife still smokes and she needed something to empty her patio ashtray (other than a wastebasket). For what we needed it was perfect and deserves five stars. On the other hand, keep in mind that the container is only 10 inches tall and is made of fairly thin-walled plastic. A bit overpriced in my opinion but it met our needs and it was delivered right to my doorstep. I am happy with the purchase.

I needed a kitchen bin with no holes for my compost and it was just what I wanted. For me, this keeps food waste from a week to a week and a half. This is ideal because the compostable food waste wrap I use usually starts to degrade at this point. I have to do something different in the winter months, but this bin is perfect for warmer weather when I can get to the composter outside more easily.

This smaller version is great for clipping and hanging in the kitchen sink where most compostable produce gets thrown away. The handle then allows for easy transfer and emptying into our separate external Revain compost bin. Lalastar's little plastic container is also easy to clean by filling it with water and pouring leftover recycled "composted water tea" over vegetables or flowers outside for extra nourishment. Great for our environment!

Combining this bin with some odor absorbing bin liners made a great addition to the litter box. . I use crystal litter which soaks up the urine instead of clumping it up so all I have to do is scoop his #2 out of his box. I can put them in this basket any day, cover with a lid and wait until the end of the week to throw out the whole bag. Doesn't give off unpleasant odors. And small, so hidden in the corner. I couldn't get enough of the convenience of this product.

My town has a compost recycling facility so I needed a small bucket so I could keep the big bucket out. This little thing works fine. For the price it's ok. It's not something you can leave out for more than a day or two as it doesn't have strong odor protection. It has a removable lip to secure the lid, but you must remove it before throwing away items. Then you have to clean it and the box separately. If I ever need another one, I'll probably pay for a more expensive, more durable, and easier
