I was going to move my AT&T gateway to the next room so I decided to just add one of these and extend the line, unfortunately it didn't work Giga Fiber 1000MB AT&T with a typical 2 -wire gateway. Attempts to add 10 feet to an existing 15 foot line. Once added, the gateway can connect to the service. Possibly blocked ATT.

So it's very convenient when a customer asks you to cut the wire and you do it. Then during the last lap they say how about moving the terminal 20 feet this way ---> . Instead of starting a whole new run, smack down one of these baddies and take them down. So far they've been fantastic. Very little signal degradation, if any.

I was VERY surprised at the exceptional build quality of these couplers, manufactured in strong but not overly heavy and oversized metal shells and with precisely fitting bushings on both ends. Best of all, I didn't notice any decrease in download speed compared to the original, even with two taps in the extended CAT 6 line! All of the connectors in the order worked equally well and had identical finishes.
