Overall the best toothpaste for me. Cleans better than others I've tried, leaves a nice fresh taste that isn't overpowering and visibly whitens my teeth (if left on for a few minutes before rinsing). I like the taste of botot better but it's great. I wish it was more available in the US and the sizing is small, but I'm rather conservative.

Superb STRONG toothpaste. It's not overwhelming, just really full of flavor. If you want your mint to be MINTY then this is for you. I bought this with Iona to compare and contrast. Iona is more concentrated and has a more complex taste, but Kouto comes second. Much better than euthymol, to which it is often compared.

Im impressed! to the point where I have to come back and give this product a fair review after a while. I've been using it for about 2 months now. I just massage my gums with it every night and I see the recession gradually waning. I feel the need to share my experience and maybe help others who have been told that only surgery can solve their problem. Try this product first. I am completely satisfied. Many Thanks.

have only used it a couple of times and am very impressed! It removed some of the dirt/plaque from my teeth that other toothpastes had left behind and my teeth were whiter. My mouth seems clean. These things are amazing! Not sure about the gum loss claim - I believe removing the plaque will allow the gums to adhere better and regrow - I'll update this if there is anything to report. Best toothpaste I have ever used will never go back!

I've been using Couto for over 45 years and it's a phenomenal Portuguese toothpaste. I had a recessive gum problem from brushing my teeth too hard with a manual toothbrush and stopped using Couto for about 2 years as I couldn't find it in the United States. My dental assistant advised me to use an electric toothbrush and try going back to Kouto. In less than 6 months my gum line recovered and the gentle action of the electric toothbrush really made a difference. This toothpaste is extraordinary
