I love this design - it complements any decor including everyday and holiday use. I wash by hand so it won't scratch in the dishwasher. A generous top handle and flared bottom edges make it easy to handle, carry, and carry. It's thick, durable glass. I only gave 4 stars because the handle fell off the first one I bought. It took quite a while for that to happen, but I still expect the handle to stay on the lid.

Beautiful, durable butter dish. I'm happy with how beautiful it is and especially love the lid. I have a Waterford Crystal (Marquis) and originally wanted to buy a matching Waterford oiler but saw this one from Godinger and decided to buy it mainly because of the lid. This lidded butter dish is just what we were looking for, nice, heavy and with a handle on the lid for easy lifting. I searched and searched for an enclosed oiler that my husband could safely use as he has a disability and cannot lift things without dropping them. This butter dish meets our needs and is beautiful.
