If this is a toddler toy I would expect the tweezers to be made out of something better than cheap plastic. It broke on first use. The rest of the toy is cute. Now we'll use it for color matching.

There are much better fine motor and color recognition toys out there such as B. Spike the Hedgehog or Steggy the Dino from Learning Resources. hard pass.

I was looking for a fine motor game for my 2.5 year old son as he loves toys in his preschool. I chose this game for the color matching and fine motor skills. My son loves this! He says he helps the bees get home. Great travel game! I just kept the box so we wouldn't lose the bees.

I bought this for my 2 year old grandson for Christmas and he can't put it down. His older brother also plays with him a lot. I don't think I would have bought it without all the great reviews, but it's one of the best toys I've ever bought. Besides painting colors and numbers and finding the right hole for each bee in the hive, the boys come up with their own games. It is so different from all other toys that it draws their attention.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my 20 month old grandson and he loves it. He's been playing with it every day for the last two months. He doesn't actually use tweezers to pick up and remove bees, but he plays with them in all sorts of ways: building houses for them, driving them around in his trucks, diving with them in his dinosaurs. I also gave him a book about bees and he plays with his bees on the pages of the book. It was an excellent choice.

The overall size is ideal for toddlers and should be durable for extended play. Great toy for toddlers. I've been a Montessori teacher to toddlers for almost a decade and this is exactly the kind of toy we want in our room. Update: A few months after his return my 2.5 year old saw a photo of him opening it for Christmas. He was upset that he no longer had this set and wanted to return it. I just ordered another set. I bought other forceps and a Melissa Doug forceps from her vet kit. The tweezers that came with the bees end up in the trash because they keep getting damaged and fall apart easily.
