These shorts are true to size and look great. They don't have as bulky/heavy material as I expected; They're on the thinner side, but strong. My boys are 12 (taller, fit and usable 10/12) and 10 (taller, fit and usable 8/10). You can roll it up once at the waist if you are a bit loose at first.

I ordered 2 of these fabrics in the same size. I opened one for my son to try on and they fit perfectly so I didn't open the other until my son wanted to wear them and they are significantly smaller than the other pair but the tag says they are both 14 years old are old -16. Now I'm out of my return window. I plan to call support.

When I tried to reorder two colors they sent another brand medium size not 12. They are not the same shorts and are much smaller. I should let my son try them on, but don't. I don't think they fit and don't look like the ones I bought. I can return both if they are too small and too short. I thought I would get the same shorts just a different color. You should not combine different colors with a completely different pair of pants.
