Craftsman Torque Wrench

Worked great - Land Rover LR3 water pump and bolt replacement required low torque (8-10) and a low torque wrench at a reasonable price was hard to find. It worked great.

Pros
  • Year Trial
Cons
  • Ratio Set

Simplicity is better for power tools and hand tools

These old school torque wrenches are great for getting actual torque information as you approach the limit. This is a quality piece that gets the job done.

Pros
  • Only one positive result

Handyman. What else do you need to know?

Received when I got tired of using a 1/2" torque wrench with a 3/8" adapter. Works as it should and doesn't have what I understand. Variable accuracy through adjustable ratchet type.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Obsolete

Good torque wrench fits wrench

The scale is too small but it is a good torque wrench. I tested it on my Delco AC Digital Torque Adapter and it was accurate. Note that for the money the finish is satin and not chrome, that's the deal.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Ok

NOT THAT EASY TO READ

The first thing I noticed was that it rattled like a bucket full of screws. I have a beam type torque wrench that is also handcrafted, over 45 years old and much better made than this loose nutty thing. Seems ok, time will tell.

Pros
  • Is worth the money
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

It's a craftsman, so that's good.

Good 3/8 torque wrench. If you're not revving above 80psi, this is the way to go. because you can use 3/8 sockets without an adapter. Small size to make it easier to reach hard-to-reach places. Ideal for motorcycle work. Also MY OPINION. The bar key is by far the most accurate and trusted. Especially this master. Nicely done.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

It broke the first time it was used.

I have used Craftsman tools for many years and they have always been good. Sometimes I sent the broken one back, but always after prolonged use. I bought this little torque wrench to keep in my tool box for light jobs when a 1/2" torque wrench (also a Craftsman bar type) isn't sensitive enough. The thing broke on the first use. tightened the screw, he "creaked" and the vibration made the dial fall off the button. Looks like the spot welds came off. Revain says the return window is closed, so…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price
