CRC 05359 Synthetic Brake Caliper Grease - 8 Fluid Ounces Review

Wow! Another great product from CRC. Premium automotive products. One downside - inconvenient to use but works great!

As some have rightly pointed out, this product CAN cause some types of rubber to swell, even those used with caliper pins. However, I learned it the hard way, which cost me a lot of time and money. I like CRC products, but what is needed here is wording that doesn't misinform the buyer.

Excellent lube that I used when replacing the brake pads. Use it on the back of the pads and at all metal-to-metal contact points to avoid squeaking. You won't use much, a little goes a long way, but now I have plenty for years to come. I also used this for the caliper bolts, the ones in the rubber cap.

Consistency and viscosity are perfect for use as a caliper lube. This material sticks easily and won't leak where you don't want it. You can turn the bottle upside down and nothing will fall out. Another great CRC product!

Great stuff. Comes with its own brush attached to the lid. I've used it on two cars, replacing all four rotors and pads on each. In the spring I will make the third car. You'll have to sand off the rust on the calipers, but I've used it between the caliper and kit gaskets and anywhere the pad touches the caliper. Now no noise when braking. CRC knows a lot about brakes and lubricants!

I cannot compare this product to other products as I am new to mechanical DIY. I basically followed other mechanics' recommendations for the job and this is one of them. I have used this product when servicing my brakes and applied it where recommended. I personally think it's overkill, but I think it's a great product. While the brakes work perfectly, without vibration and squeaks. Very happy!

Grease is thick and works very well with my car's calipers and brakes. I don't hear a sound from it. A brush is attached to the cap of the bottle. I don't like that the brush is at an angle, it feels like too much lube is stuck to it and it's hard to take it off to apply what I want. The bottle is large and should last a while. The lube is thick so it doesn't drip when applied.
