I got them after being very impressed with the Creative GigaWorks T20s I bought for my girlfriend's PC. While these T40s are louder and definitely have more powerful bass, the overall sound profile is actually worse. It seems like Creative was keen to cater to those bass-hungry teenagers, and the end result is a sound profile that's muddy and muted compared to the crystal-clear T20s. balanced sound and are in the desktop speaker market, save some money and just get the T20s.

These are amazing speakers with plenty of power and great sound quality. automatically if there is no sound after a while (maybe 10 minutes), which basically turns the speakers off.
