Excellent deep socket for mechanics

I recently picked up this deep socket set and have been thoroughly impressed. Through trial and error, I found that it easily tackles even the toughest jobs, fitting snugly onto bolts and nuts. The black oxide finish looks sleek and provides durability. The only con is the limited size options, but the 6-piece set should suffice for most tasks. Overall, a great addition to any mechanic's toolbox.

Correct Deep Hex Head

Deep socket head with "flange drive" feature on socket corners. Prevents nut rounding. This was once a patented feature. There are also outlets with the usual sharp corners. This one isn't one of them.

  • Heads feature corner loading technology to virtually eliminate fastener rounding.

  • Good, but not very good.

It's the wrong length in the dimensions.

This product is approximately 5" long. This is not entirely true. The socket itself was 2.5 inches long, and the socket with the packaging was about 5 inches long. I'm disappointed with the retentions as I thought it was a 5 inch socket.
