Photo shows why a replacement from a previous order was required. Curved to the left, on 6, 4 and 3 teeth. They really lasted almost a year of heavy use before this happened. So value for money (9.00 vs. 24.00, from leather shops, not bad). Reason for rating 4*. I love threads and needles! Never problems with one or the other.

The item arrived on 06/10/2020 well ahead of the estimated arrival time. This product was designed to work. No frills and if you have common sense. The cost of the same product with the case seemed expensive. So we decided to give up the case and buy it at a lower price. Found a box and your uncle doesn't need the beans.

It's time to buy leather needles in stock! To be honest I put it off for years. Eventually I gave up and used a regular needle (which was awful) and then didn't get regular leather needles because the project was over. (repeated flushing) Now I have no excuses and this kit also includes very good quality punches! I am very happy to work with him!

Needle and thread were ok but there were so many problems with the gap punching. They are not sharp enough and poorly designed. You have to smack these things so hard that my neighbors would call the police if I used them. I'm usually fine with cheap tools for individual projects, but do yourself a favor and buy something better if you plan to do a lot of sewing. I could barely make a hole in the skin.

On my first project with these tools, the forks were bent about ¾. I'm not even trying to go all the way, so this soft metal flexes just by going through the skin. The back of the fork is also deformed by hammer blows. Two stars for needle and thread, but forks with holes for stitches suck. Update: Reduced to one star as the needles are also very soft metal. I went through three needles to complete this small, simple project. Absolute rubbish.

If you've ever worked with leather before, you can get these tools up and running. If you are a real beginner save your money. Waxed thread - descent, needles and stitches are really poorly done. The needles are ground to a fine finish so your lacing thread may fray and your leather item may be damaged due to the unfinished nature of metal needles. The 4mm spikes are also not milled.
