Crimestopper SPTX42 Replacement 5 Button Remote Review

Based on my experience, I highly recommend this replacement remote. It is easy to program and works perfectly with my anti-theft system. The 5 buttons allow me to control multiple functions effortlessly. However, the only downside is the price, but the quality justifies it.

It was easy to install the aftermarket remote start in our 9 year old SUV. The original remote had 2 broken buttons. I got a new one from a shop that installed the original remote starter and it took them less than 5 minutes to pick it up! Same brand!

They were a direct replacement for my Crimestopper remote start. They are sturdy as they don't physically break but the 2 remotes they replaced (same model) both failed electrically within 3 years. (each in use for about 1.5 years) I have had remote starters in all my cars for the last 30 years and these are the only remote starters I have ever had to replace due to an internal failure. Other brands only had to be replaced due to loss or physical damage. Battery life is typical for a disposable
