I bought these hoping they would be small enough to work with dreadlocks but they are too big. Aside from being larger than I expected, they pretty much lived up to my expectations. They seem cheap but I'm sure they will hold up great for casual use.

Was very surprised to see your definition of "little hook and big hook". The size of the hooks I received was rather large and extra large which was useless for me since I used them for dreadlocks. Remember the snap yarn tapestries that were very popular in the 80's? Well, the largest of the hooks will be MUCH larger, and the "small" hook will be the size you get in the snap hook twine kit - you need to have big locks for the small hook to be useful. . Not sure if I'm misusing it but I put my hair through the hook and tried to close it but it wouldn't close all the way. I tried to close the hook in different ways but now it is stuck and the other one does the same. I had to use my fingers to pull through the hair for my crocheted twists. Would not recommend this product.
