Gave it to my girlfriend for Christmas and she loves it. It's not the best sound quality in the world, but it will fill a small to medium sized room.

First impressions were good but the good looks and build quality couldn't make up for the disappointing sound quality. If someone bought this to use as is and had no plans to plug in headphones or external powered speakers, I'd say the sound quality is okay. I was expecting the built-in speakers to sound average or "good enough" for casual listening, but I wanted to use this with headphones so the built-in speakers didn't matter to me. Needle broke while playing the 10th or so record. I bought a 3 year protection plan but Revane is telling me to contact the seller (Crossley) and Crossley is telling me to speak to whoever gave me the protection plan (Revane). I now have a player that is broken and does not appear to be able to be returned/replaced or repaired.

If you connect it to external speakers, you will most likely be satisfied. It's hard to understand how far speaker technology has come in the past few years, why these speakers sound so flimsy and terrible. It's like they're vying to be the best speaker and get the gold medal. My phone literally sounds ten times better.

I bought this for my teenage daughter, it's made out of lightweight plastic and the sound is ridiculously awful. The arrow won't stop bouncing even with a cheap weight setting. The needle arm is poorly designed and will drag across the vinyl. My daughter was so disappointed and I was just mad at those who left generous reviews here. It is nothing but a retro decoration. Don't buy this.

As happy as I was with this, I was very disappointed with the sound quality. This is a very nice and aesthetic player, but it's really just for looks. The sound quality of the speakers could be better. The only complaint I really had was having to remove the turntable and fix the tape to get it spinning. Overall I have to say this is a good turntable but you need speakers to make it sound better.
