Beautiful, beautiful color. Regarding my daughter's room, she is 13 and loves it. The sound is ok, but fair for the price and the built-in speakers. The thicker record didn't play but we found a solution and put a big metal disc on the needle and it worked! Thin records are fine, but thicker special editions needed more weight. Glad it turned out to be an easy fix.

Had to return due to bad sound. The update came in and we took a closer look and found that when playing 33.3 platters there was a design issue with the lid restricting the movement of the platter. We used a medium hub, rated for 45-second playback, to raise the 33.3 platter to avoid contact with the lid. The lid had to be designed to lay flat.

I'm a real slacker. I was really looking forward to this item and have been waiting for it for several weeks. I unpacked it and plugged it in and it won't even turn on. I went online to read the reviews more carefully and wish I had read them the first time before buying. It looks like the general sound quality is an issue, but unfortunately I don't know because mine wouldn't turn on. Return very disappointed :(

I just like the looks. This is a decorative item. Played older, thinner records but skipped them when trying to play thicker records. I've read that this is because it has a small plate and there is no way to balance the arm or adjust the anti-skate.
