3600 MHz with class. 16-18-18-38. Excellent LEDs

Excellent speed and timings. 3600 at 16-18-18-38. The colors and patterns look good. LEDs are good and bright. Crucial software is fine and all LEDs sync up well. 2 packages started with 2x16Gbs. One of the four wands didn't work. Revine was quickly replaced. Works great on AMD 3700x with XMP. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Keep silent

I can't drive RGB LEDs on my Gigabyte X370

. RAM runs almost at advertised speed on my x370 which is good. Setup was a bit difficult. I had to run 1 stick at a time with profile XMP Otherwise it would only load at 2133MHz and it took me a while to figure it out. The most annoying thing is that the LED control software on my motherboard doesn't work, so in my case I'm left with those horribly bright flashing rainbow raves with no option to turn off the LEDs. I highly recommend using the non-RGB version.

Peer Modules

I think I should make everyone aware of this. These modules (2x16) are now peer to peer. You can tell when you get the package - it says M8FB1, meaning Micron Rev B is dying, not Micron Rev E. So Micron has effectively moved on to releasing its 16GB single rank modules and dual - Dropping rank, which is what most of us aspire to. I ordered 3 of these sets - 1 from the official Crucial website and 2 from Amazon; all 3 are single level stamps from Rev B. I return all 3 and get a two level Gskillz

Crucial mod software HORRIBLE

Look, these are great sticks of RAM. They look great, the RGB colors are fantastic and the overall build quality feels solid. However, the amount of issues encountered when attempting to set up RGB using Crucial's own RGB software makes me advise against anyone reading this review and considering buying it and matching RGB RAM with viable software. . First off, the Crucial software on their own website didn't even work on my computer. After some digging I found another page on their own website

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Don't worry about that RAM if you care about RGB.

YOU CANNOT MANAGE THE RGB OF THIS RAM None of the RGB programs that you usually use can not and do not want to manage it and change its colors and I have tried everything, I bought it for my girlfriend because she loves RGB but I always have to hear it can't be controlled which is very painful because I wish she could enjoy her computer I built and enjoy the RGB lighting I think I got actually get paid not to even work. . I even switched to a new mainboard because Gigabyte and their RGB merging
