Works with my 2011 Apple iMac. I downloaded the new OS X Yosemite which mine iMac slowed down a bit. The extra memory didn't help speed up boot times, but I did get more RAM for memory-intensive apps. I followed the installation video on YouTube and installed 4GB myself. That's why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. I still don't know how to speed up the iMac startup delay.

No complaints! Just follow the instructions provided by Apple Support [.] and you're all set! Took me 15 minutes and my biggest concern was losing the tiny screws on the back. I had a set of eyeglass screwdrivers and it worked great.

I bought this memory to increase the amount of RAM in my laptop without having to replace the onboard memory and this memory is perfect for you. I installed it and it worked in less than 5 minutes! Works well, no compatibility issues, no bugs, a fast computer is what I wanted.

I already have a HP Pavilion G6 4GB 1333MHz installed but I settled on this memory card. It's a great price, speed, size and perfect fit. After the install I ran the windows computer rating and the ram range went from 4.8 to 7.2 and the overall computer went from 3.8 to 5.6. Very happy with it.

Brand quality RAM at a competitive price. I've been using my Samsung laptop for almost a year with no issues, but it's a Crucial so I expected the same. If you are upgrading an existing stick, be sure to follow the specs, especially the CL. A cost effective way to upgrade a laptop that came with a 4GB stick and a 2GB stick to its full 8GB capacity by swapping out the 2GB. There is no noticeable impact on battery life.

I ordered 4 x 4GB of these RAM chips for my mid 2010 iMac and when they arrived in the mail one was defective. Even though I installed all 4 on my iMac, the memory report on the iMac said I only had 8GB installed. At first I thought two of these were faulty, but after careful experimentation and troubleshooting, I realized that since the RAM bed is a 2 x 2 grid with two adjacent squares, then if one of the chips in a bed was faulty , then the other chips in the same bed are also not recognized.

I bought an inexpensive "throw away" laptop with a 5400 RPM drive for $290. I only use it at work so I can store my email and music on company computers. It was a little sluggish so I considered a new 7200rpm drive in addition to more RAM. With that extra 4GB, I don't need a hard drive upgrade. I'm sure an SSD or 7200rpm drive won't hurt, but with the cost and performance this SODIMM adds, I really don't need to upgrade the drive at this point.

Updated my daughter's Samsung NP 535 with this board. It was easy and saved me from having to buy another notebook for her. Doubling the RAM made a big difference. I installed it myself with minimal knowledge of how to do it.
