CTLAMP 5J.J7L05.001 P-VIP 240 0.8 E20.9n Original OEM Lamp/Bulb for BenQ W1080ST Projector Review

I did a lot of research before purchasing this product but everything works great. I am very happy with the results of this product

The lamp has an Osram stamp, but it is definitely not an original Osram lamp. But it works very poorly. It is almost as dim as the lamp it replaces (a typical 1600 hour lamp). I will send it back and try another seller.

This item was a perfect replacement for the blown bulb that came with my BenQ W1070. Of course you'll have to disassemble the lamp body, but it was pretty easy for me just to track down all those really small screws. I actually lost the screw that attached the lamp housing to the projector, but I was able to replace it with a computer screw I had at home.

The lamp is original in every way. However, there is a downside. There is a small protrusion on one side of the bulb that needs to fit into a groove in the metal plate that holds the bulb in place. Unfortunately, the rib in the piston is trapezoidal and the notch is rectangular like the original piston. It is not possible to replace a light bulb with this without modifying the housing. I would like to work with the seller to find a solution but at this point I have to return it and find another

I do not believe that this lamp is original. The quality is not the same as the original, but it seems and looks no worse. I took some pictures to compare the 2. I really didn't want to spend more than 200 to get another lamp and case like other sellers (including benq) are suggesting. My original lamp has about 500 hours and I wanted to plan ahead for the day it would burn out/fail/go out. The product I purchased was sold by Classic Bulb Inc. and the product cost was $75. When I click on a product review in my orders, the review is posted on that identical product sold by Electric Depot for $200 so I don't know what the issue is.
