Cuisinart Chopping Blade for Food Processor Review

There was a crack on the underside of my old blade. We still love the food processor and didn't want to buy a brand new appliance. I was glad I found it. It came very sharp and in excellent packaging. no dents or damage. Don't buy a brand new block if you only need one part.

Read previous reviews to say it fits my food processor. Turns out it's not! I read that it is suitable for the BPF-703 series and that it is simply difficult to remove for washing. Used several times, the rubber part on the top melted during use. Don't buy this blade.

I gave this unit 4 stars because it fits better than our previous replacement. It looks just like the original. The problem lies in the Cuisinart design. There are stress points that lead to cracks in the plastic. We don't use this every day and the last replacement was about 3 years old. I hope I get a lot out of it too.

Very disappointed. There are many reviews and complaints here about what is pictured and not what you get. What is pictured is a solid dual blade system bolted to a plastic shaft. What you get is an old model, single blade filled with molded plastic, so the stress on each blade tends to wear down and break the shank. Because of this I had to buy a new one. It won't last more than a few years. I need to update the picture.

I don't normally have to give negative feedback, but the item delivered did not look like the one posted. I received the original blades in a plastic case, not full metal blades. These photos need updating and I thought they did 2 years after the first one was posted to point that out! I'm sure this blade will last a few years but this blade is not pictured and inevitably won't last as long as you might think.

Should have looked at a review from July 2015 which said it wasn't the same part as pictured - they were right. I just got it in the mail and it's not the same detail as pictured above, nor that on my Cuisinart. Most likely he has a blade built into the plastic and not screwed in as shown in the picture. It looks very cheap and by no means as high quality as the original. I will return it but don't waste your time.

I bought this blade to replace my duo after the original started breaking. Unfortunately, the blade offered by Seneca Trading does not fit. It's so tight on the mount that I can only remove it with pliers. I tried to grab the blade and pull it, but always ended up scratching or cutting my hand. The tolerance is too tight, the blade is really stuck and you can't easily remove it to clean or extract food from the center blade area. The photo of this item is exactly what I wanted because the Cuisinart stand mixer has the blades built into a plastic sleeve. This blade has always been hand washed, never run in the dishwasher. It shows many stress cracks around the blades and is ready to fall apart. So I ordered the sturdy looking blade shown in the photo.
