Lighter than expected

Slightly lighter than expected. But she still did very well on Thanksgiving. This is not a pan to be passed from generation to generation in your family, it should last for several years.

Ideal, just do not put it in the dishwasher

Works great, but I put it in the dishwasher and the handles turned black. I then cleaned it up after my hands went all black, but now the handles aren't shiny anymore. It's still good.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • There are nuances

No claims from me.

I have used this frypot several times since purchase with no problems, no coatings peeling off, even heat, attractive design, functional handles and strainer stand. Unless the pot is treated with care, used, cleaned which I found fairly basic, and stored properly, I fully expect it to give many years of good use.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I won't say anything

If you are vegetarian or vegan you will never need a rack.

Love the solid riveted handles, sturdy V stand and non-stick coating. I made a 5 bone rib roast that weighed 12 pounds. The only thing I didn't like was that it couldn't be placed under the brazier. But that's why I bought an outdoor grill or a cast-iron pan for the house. I can't comment on longevity though as I've only used it once. I definitely feel fat in my arms.

Pros
  • Well made
Cons
  • Durable

The coating will peel off if only a sponge is used!

Bought this pan 5 years ago. Only used it once a year for Thanksgiving turkey. After cleaning last year (2016), the coating began to come off - circles the size of a coin. Recently a turkey was selling for 50 cents a pound so we bought one and used this pan as usual despite the peeling stains. This time the coating came off in much larger pieces when using a sponge! The oven temp never went above 350. :-( Definitely not worth the price.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • For seniors

I wanted to love this pan

I think someone else rated this pan's main downside - the coating chipped off after 2 (two) uses! I used the rack at Thanksgiving and then Christmas (stored and didn't move between the two) and now there are no chips where the rack meets the pan. I understand the physics of how this would happen, but that it would happen is a design flaw. (Maybe silicone stand protector?) I wish I would have spent that much money on a higher quality product only to see it in this condition after two uses.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Weight
