NOT stainless steel - smooth stamped sheet metal

I bought this because it was advertised as stainless steel. Well it isn't. This is regular stamped sheet metal with some chrome plating. Very misleading labeling so I sent it back. Revain needs to correct the invoice for this item as it is clearly incorrect.

  • Cool
Cons
  • Some cons

Something is wrong in the kitchen and dining room

Used denatured alcohol but to no avail. Several times it wouldn't start, and when it did, it only lasted a second. Took the top of the burner off and it says "USE GEL FUEL ONLY" on the bottom. This isn't my first rodeo, I've been making fondue for over 50 years. Something is wrong with this list.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Some flaws

Fits most, works well

Made of fairly thin stainless steel and expensive. There is a removable liner that you use for liquid fuels or you can burn the paste if you pull out the liner and set it aside. The choke has three open holes when you push the lever all the way to the right and six open holes when you push it to the left, so you have to center it to close everything. The mesh at the top of the insert is made of fine stainless steel. Similar ones I've had in the past lasted maybe 25 meals.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • No insurance
