Disappointment on mandolins

I used a mandolin at a friend's house when I was helping to cook a meal a few years ago and it cut up potatoes, carrots and parsnips with no problem. So I really wanted to try Cuisipro's. This one only worked with a few softer veggies with a pair of blades. I've had very positive results slicing cucumbers and zucchini, and the blade that cuts creases and waffles worked on those two veggies too. But even for these items, the julienne blade was not sharp enough and simply mush them up, otherwise…

Awkward to use and difficult to cut, 1.5 stars

I chose the Cuispro mandolin because I thought it would be more compact and easier to store than the one I have now: Swissmar Borner V - 1001 V-Slicer Plus Mandoline and Zyliss 4-in-1 Slicer and Grater. Borner starts to crack after 12 years of use, and Zyliss has blades that are difficult to remove quickly as the holder slides in and out to fit different blades. Unfortunately, Cuispro will not replace either of them as a good alternative. Removing the label from the surface of coated foods is…

Very handy for small batches or quick cuts.

My first reaction after finally taking it out of the box was "Fantastic! Finally!" A very thoughtful practical kitchen tool: the thickness is adjustable with a knob on the side. The deck of the cutting blade remains stable and the sliding side is adjustable. The blade on the hard spot moves in and out on the right side and can be reversed for julienne or straight. The second blade, located in front of the larger main blade, has vertical blades in 1/4" increments, reversible in 1/8" increments…

Easy to store, takes a bit of training

I have another mandolin that I use, it has several parts and is kept in a box. The handy Cuisipro mandolin is convenient because everything is stored together (three different blades for cutting/combing, julienne, waffle and grater "snap" into the body of the device) and also has six settings for the size of your pieces. This is very handy when you don't want to worry about storage space. However, if you *really* want to worry about sharp objects, you should consider how to store the mandolin…

  • I have no complaints about it, everything is fine

Slicers for life! - Mandolins

Until I saw Cuisipro's mandolin, my newest favorite slicer was the OXO Good Grips Complete Grate and Slicer Set. Beautiful, light, portable, with a knife compartment in the vegetable holder. It looked good and while I knew it wouldn't last forever, I liked what he was doing. And then came Cuisipro, tall and muscular, handsome and ready to go. That's it: my second marriage again. Anyway, I switched to Cuisipro and I really like it. Includes three cutting blades with double faces. You can slice…

Simple mandoline slicer

PROS: Robust construction. The blades are in the mandolin. Easy adjustment of the cutting thickness. 5 different blades. Practical protection for the hands at the bunker. The storage process and the result of the fine grater aren't much different. The Cuisiro Manual Mandolin is a sensible iteration of this simple type of kitchen utensil, with a few features that set it apart from the rest. The reverse-mounted blade helps you quickly cut fruit and vegetables into even slices with little effort…
