💧 Culligan R50 BBSA Sediment Replacement Cartridge: Optimal Filtration for Cleaner Water Review

This is Culligan, not R50-BBSA Actually it's R50-BBSB as stated by another reviewer. It will fit just as well, but probably won't last long as it's not as dense and doesn't have the "corrugated" surface of the R50-BBSA.

OK, so I have several water filters at home. THIS IS CRACK! JOKE, and I pulled out the 3" concrete screws when trying to remove the filter. THIS IS NOT A QUALITY PRODUCT.

As a pre-filter for seawater, they retain larger particles, as expected. I wash the filter once a week and change it once a quarter. I've never had structural problems with any of the filters. This is a 50 micron filter which is the first step in water purification after which the real work begins.

I only needed one filter to keep sediment in the lines from clogging the more expensive and much smaller filter in my fridge. This filter cartridge does the job perfectly at a great price. Highly recommended for the price I paid for it in early 2021. If the price goes up I might reconsider my recommendation and look elsewhere, but for now. Yes, high quality at a good price.

The replacement order will have a Made in China sticker at the top. , he said they could have been made in the US years ago. I don't know how to think about it, the water goes through this before being filtered by our water filter. Unfortunately, all alternatives are also made in China. Most likely from the same factory.

Glad I found these on Revain's subscription services. Since our well water is so rusty we need them every month and for half the cost of buying from a big store this is a great deal. I wish they would have lasted a little longer as ours clog up so quickly and as they were a hot tub brand before Kallingan took them they seemed to last longer. Overall still good for removing heavy deposits. Please let me know if this review was helpful.

Product not received as shown or described. Preserved R50-BBSB made in China, not R50-BBSA made in USA as pictured and stated. Revain needs to either fix the inventory or refresh the page. What I received turned out to be a poor quality copy of the original. The pleats on the filter were VERY uneven - some were very tight and others were very loose. Obviously assembled in a hurry with no quality control. I bought the same item from Revain about a year and a half ago with no problems.

This filter is used to remove gross scale and rust that normally ends up in my fountain basin. I can't say it improves the taste of the water as I have 2 additional smaller sediment filters (much larger filters) in line before they enter my house where I end up having reverse osmosis. But insofar as it keeps the inevitable larger particles from getting into my well tank, and also minimizes at least some of the rust coming off the bottom, it does the job.
