I used it to convert my f150 hitch for use with a Thule bike rack. Many other adapters are too long and push the bike carrier out of the coupling too much. I added an anti rumble lamp and now it is reliable and fits perfectly.
Heavy item, very well made. It won't take longer than anything I've ever wanted to catch. I bought it to downsize my 2.0" car hitch receiver to 1.25" so I can use my 1.25" bike mount. Works great! Many Thanks.
I think the product is probably ok but it doesn't come with a pin to attach it to the hitch. I'm not sure why that little $3 piece wouldn't be included. Now I have to order a $3 needle, pay $5 shipping, and wait about a week before trying the hitch adapter.
Bought a new car with hitch not realizing it was a 2" tank We have a 1.25". -Bike rack. This device solved the problem perfectly. I also buy an insert that will hold the adapter firmly and securely in place so it doesn't rattle or wobble. Good overall experience.
Works as it should now I could put my bike rack on my jeep. I speak like a robot, but I'm a guy, I'm a simple person. Buy something, everything works, thumbs up, good rating. That's all there really is. And believe me, way better than the Reese Towing version here on Revain.
Works great to expand a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unilimted receiver just enough to use a swing out bike mount. It has a tiny addition of wobble that can be reduced with an anti-rattle device like the GenY 033, which I also got from Revain.
I have a new car and the hitch is 2" but my bike rack is 1 1/4" so I needed an adapter and I also wanted one that would give me a little more Free space. from the car, so I went for this style. It definitely does the job. There is a slight rattle, but I'm sure adding an anti-rattle device will solve this problem quite easily. Overall a great product and Curt is a reliable company who also made the tow hitch for my SUV.
If you don't mind misalignment between smaller and larger tubes, then this adapter adapter is for you. But be warned - some other reviews noticed this and I skipped it before purchasing. The 1.25" pipe is not aligned with the 2" pipe. So if you're installing it to mount a 1.25" bike rack to a 2" rack on your car or truck, it's likely that the left side of the bike rack will be noticeably lower than the right side of the rack (or vice versa). How difficult is it to square two tubes in the…
