Easy to install and adjusts to size

Slightly flimsy and easy to bend during installation. After assembling and installing the socket, solid and durable. easy to set up.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Available in white only

cheap little bracket that just works

Looks exactly the same but not very sturdy so you have to hold on to the back of the socket while plugging in the side of the pendant. Holds a car socket perfectly for its price.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not the best

Order this one save time and share the floor

I just installed it so can't say how long it will last. But it is much stronger than the more expensive one I tried. I had to cut the bottom off to install the fork without having to reconnect the fork, but with a disconnect wheel it only took a second.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Nothing

Check fit with

2 stars because the hole pattern doesn't match the 7 pin Curt tether I just bought. I had to drill and round new holes to the brim. Otherwise robust. I contacted Kurt and they pointed out that the 58520 mount is what I needed to buy. It has slits and holes for a good fit. Just ordered 1.

Pros
  • tether Consistent test results
Cons
  • Quality

Well made and durable

Well made and durable at a very competitive price. Works great and easy to install and also makes it easy to orient the electrical connector properly when not mounted vertically. I wanted it black, which a quick paint sprayer did and saved me about $5 instead of buying the same one already painted black.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Socket required

Made for a messy install.

I was so unimpressed with this and the CURT 5702 bracket that I gave it up in favor of mounting the trailer plug in the bumper. It just looked very sloppy and the plug was hanging too low under the back of the truck. The plug was crooked and there was something about the plug bracket being held by a hose clamp that I couldn't live with.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Cables shorter than others

Durable, inexpensive, fully functional.

Works great for me and seems pretty sturdy. I don't understand why anyone says they are weak. Are they planning to put it on a rock or something? If so, they will have trouble finding something that satisfies their needs. If you just want to use it to install a 7 pin connector, this will work for you. If you're using it for demolition derbies or for belaying rocks with it, you might want to reevaluate a few things.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • So-so

A few facts about this mount

I installed this bracket on my 1999 F250 HD. I also installed it using Curt's 7-pin electrical (RV) harness. I was surprised that the bracket holes didn't line up with all four holes on the wiring harness. No big deal, I just drilled two new ones. Also, there were no screws in the bracket to attach it to the bumper. Again, no big deal as I had screws in the store. But if you didn't have spare screws, you'd have to go to the hardware store. It's not a very strong mount, but for my infrequentโ€ฆ

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION. To mount this cable bracket between your vehicle and trailer, you can bolt it directly to your vehicle using the top bolt holes, or you can connect this bracket with CURT #57202 for easy installation with a pipe clamp without drilling.
Cons
  • other interesting options.
