Curt Manufacturing 56378 Custom Connector Review

After a lot of troubleshooting there is a 4th fuse on the cable in its compartment. Unlike fuses for the van. 10 amp fuse. This is not mentioned anywhere in the instructions and is not included in the box. I almost sent it back thinking it was defective. After I installed this fuse (bought for $3 at a local auto parts store) it worked fine.

Very easy to install with basic hand tools. The electrical wiring was connected directly, allowing for an easy and professional installation. However, this is easily fixed by reading the stickers on the fuse panel. In general very satisfied.

However, the problem is that the 4-pin connector does not fit into the recess on the car's chassis. Honda solved this problem by using a smaller plug inside the car. It would be great if I could install this. But the fuse and several plugs were not included. I tried calling support, although that didn't work for me today. But there is no one to answer the phone. I mean, who tries to do projects like this on the weekend, right? I also bought their hitcg trailer. which required some modifications to fit. Both products were for my car. Pretty disappointed and annoyed.

I installed this on our 2013 Honda Odyssey. Although the instructions included in the package could be clearer, take a few minutes and just watch the YouTube video for installation. My only concern was that our fuse box didn't have numbered slots, so it took a second to figure out which fuses went where. (The picture in the instructions was helpful but not as obvious as it could have been due to the need for various amp fuses.) 5 stars overall and an easy project.

Installed according to the instructions with no problems. It was a bit tricky to open the panel wide enough to make the connection, but it was doable. The installation took about 20-30 minutes. After installation I connected the railing and all lightbulbs worked fine. The only thing I don't like is that the cable has to be exposed. Instructions are easy to follow except for removing the travel hooks, they are threaded. I didn't like the idea of hiding the wiring inside and routing it under the hatch door. This means that you have to open and close the sunroof every time you use it, otherwise there is a risk of the cable being pinched or pulled out. Fairly easy installation on a 2012 Honda Odyssey! Some of the instructions were confusing and didn't seem right, but the YouTube video put it all together. The only reason for 4 stars is that it doesn't fully fit my van model as it cannot be installed "outside" the van without widening the existing opening. this curt pack fits my 2015 odyssey. Installation was easy, I used the YouTube video to fill in some details in the instructions provided. Installation on the Elite trim Odyssey was only slightly more difficult due to the location of the vacuum, but still took less than 30 minutes.
