Waste of money for automotive work

As a result of using this product, I found that it was difficult to use and did not grip securely. The plier jaws were loose and did not lock in place, leading to frustration and wasted time.

Value for Money - Locking Vise & Pliers

This is not a vise. But these are cheap pliers and they work. Plastic handles are particularly cheap. This is a good tool I think Harbor Freight Level.

Pliers with a non-smooth seat

OK, work, but are not infinitely variable. On the rough side, I'd say, but I work with garage doors. So smoothness isn't required, but for just a dollar more and change, you can buy smoothness.
