A good thing ! on Wood Polish & Care

The product works well. My biggest complaint is that it's very expensive for what it is and doesn't go as far as you think, especially if you cut the boards a lot, the first coat absorbs quickly and you really need to put at least 2 coats on and of course the wax supply needs to be refilled once a month if you use your boards at all.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

ideal for cutting boards

Ideal for cutting boards. This is the best blend of oil and wax I have found. Oil absorbs well and wax prolongs life. The protection lasts a couple of months before the boards start looking very dry and wet again. I usually put them on and leave them on overnight, then wipe off and wash off the excess. or smell it.

The thing really works!

The question isn't whether I liked the product. Rather, I liked my cutting board. Following the instructions, I thoroughly cleaned, washed and dried my board, which was over 10 years old. Then I applied a generous layer. About half an hour later I heard a strange noise coming from the kitchen. There I found a cutting board that sings and dances! After a quick massage (rubbing in the product) my board has calmed down and is now purring softly in its usual resting place. Joking aside, this thing…

This stuff is pretty good!

We have a handcrafted oak kitchen table that I once treated with tung oil that seemed to soak into the papers and napkins we placed on the table. This gave the table a nice color at first, but was said to have to be reapplied every week. This material is a bit thicker, but damn durable. It doesn't penetrate anything and it seems that the more we use the table, the better it polishes itself. I had small "scratches" on the table where things were being dragged and seemed to hit the wood (rather…

GREAT FINISHING CONDITIONER

This board conditioner is a great product. I've used it on six cutting boards after sanding it and treating it with edible mineral oil. As a finishing treatment, when properly applied and buffed with an electric wheel, it gives a silky smooth finish that brings out the beauty of the wood. I've used this on oak, maple, mesquite, and ponderosa pine boards with success on each of them. After drying and polishing, the surface is better than when new. In particular, if you follow the instructions…

  • Not as good as it says
