Excellent glide and perfect fit

These 3/4" 1/4" thick Glide X 11/16" nylon nails are long from the tip of the nylon to the tip of the nail. 1/16" Diameter. The chute is flat with a depression in the middle (biconcave disc - like a red blood cell). Love the slide and have ordered more for my other tables and chairs. They were easy to install and the closet shop sent me additional instructions to help with the installation. I recommend Dugan Hardware Glide staples.

I liked that they are brown

As advertised - nice little slides I bought instead of the metal slides that could scratch the floor. I liked that they are brown to match the wood more and therefore less noticeable. The seller emailed in advance notifying them of the shipping and gave some tips on how to use it, even if the existing hole is too big for these slides (break a toothpick in the hole to ensure a tight fit). to guarantee). Email was a nice touch.

This resulted in the terrifying sound of nails banging on the blackboard as the chairs slid across the floor.

Our dining room has chairs with wooden legs on a matte tile floor. This resulted in the terrifying sound of nails on the board as the chairs slid across the floor. These sliders took care of that issue and I didn't notice any damage. I installed by pre-drilling each leg with a 1/16" drill bit and then pressing each leg firmly with my thumbs. No hammer blow required. I am now buying more bar stools for our kitchen island.

Do not use on hardwood floors

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Felt pads I had didn't last. Obviously I had to get down to the nail on the mortar. I bought nails on felt, but they are noisy. Then I bought it and fell in love with it. I like that they are quiet and while other reviewers say they slide too much I don't think so - I want the chair to slide and they do. Highly recommended. Now I will buy 100 boxes to keep replacing the felts that are falling. MONTH LATER FEEDBACK: I bought felt and nylon. Luckily I kept some chairs under felt…

These nylon briefs are the way to go.

These nylon pads are very similar to the nylon pads Ethan Allen uses on his dining chairs. They work on both wood and tile floors. They replaced two different types of felt pads on my chairs - nailed and glued. The felt guides that were glued on came off after a short time and sealed the floor. The nailed nails worked well until the felt wore out after about a year of use. The order arrived on time and the product is as advertised. Tip: I drilled a 1/16" hole in the center of the leg about 1/2"
