I've had issues with multiple sheets of paper or photos shifting while being cut, I think it's mostly because the clamping mechanism wasn't that tight. If I gently hold a few photos tightly together and press them against the board, they usually cut well, but overall I find it safer to cut one at a time. For single cuts, this does a really good job. I use my Dahle 556 to trim large format inkjet prints and it makes the process a lot more efficient than my old knife-versus-the-rule method. I suspect my fingers could last longer too! I've used this trimmer with inkjet papers of various weights up to 400gsm and it cuts them like butter. The cuts are very precise and it's easy to remove a small amount of paper if needed.
