Dakota Microlight Mini Watch Review

Love it! For some reason I got to the point where I really don't like wearing anything on my wrist anymore, so I was off to a good start. As my eyesight got worse (I'm 55, sigh), it became harder for me to get a watch so I could read without wearing reading glasses. It's more useful than it looks. I've seen them in National Geographic catalogs for years but didn't know about the possibilities until I bought these from Revain. It attaches to almost anything and always comes in handy when a watch is impractical. This is not just a toy for men but ladies, attach it to your purse (there are other colors including pink). I intend to buy more of these as gifts - for adventurer grandchildren.

Pros: * Excellent build quality * Nice looks (especially blue or chrome watches) Cons: * Battery life is terrible. I have had several of these watches and the battery life is consistently no more than a year * The color starts to peel after about a year. Conclusion: A great watch, a bit overpriced. I would value them at no more than $30. $35-0 is way too much. It's worth it if you like the look and can put up with a short battery life.

Looks good but isn't very impact resistant. It went through 1 wash in my blue jeans and didn't survive. The crystal and the hands parted. the little red light was still working!. My old Timex has been through several washes and is still hanging.

This is a really good watch. I've had it for over a year now and it's still working even after accidentally washing it today. The blue coating came off in the wash but I was able to scrape off the rest of the blue to make it look like stainless steel. The only real gripe is that the glass needs more protection from scratches (probably a resealable lid) as this is a belt loop watch and tends to rub against objects.
