I am familiar with PVD coatings but have my doubts. If so, then the metal used is quite soft. Within the first week of wearing, the buckles started to wear out a lot. Yes I work at the table and yes he polishes the table. In contrast, the strap on my Casio Gshock is standard, 5 years old and worn many times. The black metal buckle wears out less. The NATO strap looks good and fits well.

I saw an article about NATO watch straps and it helped me decide on this one. Now that I have it, I'm so glad I have it. The watch itself came with plastic straps that made my skin sweat, but the NATO doesn't. It's worth it. However, it is recommended to look at how to remove the strap from watches, especially watches with pebbles. This is a durable strap made from quality materials. The strap itself holds up well with moderate use (particularly in and out of the pool/ocean) and the metal rings show no signs of wear. The strap is very long. This is fine for me in some situations as I sometimes need to wear a work or dive watch over my clothes (dry suit, rain jacket, winter coat).
