Very soft. It feels like angels are hugging my legs. The screws were striped. They were easy to replace but had to be bought from a specialty store as they are metric. The screws are shrouded so you can't remove the sole.

These slippers are very comfortable but I find they run small. My daughter usually wears size 6 women's shoes. I ordered 6.5 and they were too small. I ordered 7.5 and they fit well. So I recommend ordering one size larger.

The screws came out of the heel trying to screw it further than the strip of the screw. They fit perfectly and feel very comfortable, but because of the screws I don't recommend them at all. You will rip the floor if you use them with screws protruding.

My daughter wears size 9.5 women's shoes so we ordered 11. They were on her and she knocked as soon as she took them out of the box. They conform to their will with little room in the toe. You sound like tap dancing! :) She is very happy with the style and comfort of the shoes. Shipping was fast and they arrived in perfect condition! We would buy them again.

I had never done tap dancing before, so I wasn't an experienced customer of dance shoes. These running shoes are perfect for beginners. I ordered the same size I wear in street shoes and they are so comfortable! I want to wear them everywhere and not just because I like their sound! I was bribed by the reviewer who said something about the feeling of angels hugging their legs. I've never had an angel hug my feet but I think it would be like tap dancing in these shoes!

Bought for my child. They appear to have minor imperfections (glue is visible), but these imperfections do not affect functionality and cannot be seen by spectators while dancing. Of course it doesn't get any cheaper! My child takes tap lessons from the city's 8-hour per season program and has an adult-sized foot, so he can no longer buy children's tap shoes from Payless. The teacher prefers these double soles, but they cost about $80 each at a nearby store - impractical given the growth rate…
