The solid black Darice eyes are very durable and adhere very well to knitwear. I've used dozens of eyes over the years and so far none have fallen off (even when the knitted Cthulhu was destroyed by a dog).

They definitely cost more than the big packs but they are definitely much better made and the locks hold up much better. You won't get any waste with them like you would with cheaper kits. I use them to knit animals that I knit for my grandchildren. I feel comfortable giving them to my little ones.

I have bought safety eyes from other sellers on Revain and the pads were of terrible quality - about half of them fell completely apart when I tried to put them on. On the other hand, it was a dream to work with them! The backs are strong plastic, securely attached, I didn't find a single broken part in the box. I am very confident in making toys for young children with these eyes knowing they are safe and reliable!
