I best sent it back to Sewing

Didn't fit my Juki HZL-600 (Low Shank) even though it said so in the description. When I put my foot on the bar, the foot didn't adjust enough for the fabric to move under the foot for free quilting with the ruler. The design of this foot is closed at the top so it cannot be lifted or adjusted. I went further and paid significantly more for a genuine Juki line for my car. I received a full refund for this leg from the seller.

Pros
  • Same as everything
Cons
  • Very expensive

This is NOT suitable for a low shank machine.

Although it fits low shank machines, it sits so low that any quilt with more than the lightest batting will not move. Areas with docking seams are simply "hung" under the foot. It has a long set screw slot that can only be used on high or medium shank machines. Again, when you extend the presser foot to its maximum position, you only come off the machine bed about 1/8 inch. If anyone knows of a ruler foot that works on a low shank machine please let me know!

Cons
  • Not sure

Not for Brother SE400

This ruler foot will NOT fit my Brother SE400 machine. In the highest position, it holds the quilt sandwich so tightly that I can't quilt it. My machine will not let me sew with the presser foot raised and this is the only way I can raise the presser foot high enough to move the quilt underneath. Unfortunately I didn't buy the rulers to try them out until it was too late to return them. I put it on the car but forgot to put my foot down to see how firm it is. Anyone have any suggestions?

Pros
  • Sewing Machine Parts and Accessories
Cons
  • Not as thick as other kits

Works as advertised

I am new to quilting and wasn't even sure if this foot would work on my Brother sewing machine but it does. However, the link on the leaflet with the foot didn't go anywhere! I just googled the NGOSEW brand and was able to find and print out great instructions. Warning - I messed up a needle because I forgot to change the needle position (my machine has 2 - and it automatically adjusts to the left - it had to be positioned to the right to work with this foot). Once I practiced with a store…

Pros
  • Sewing
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others
