Davis AirFlow Tels+ Review

I used these on my Force 5 mainsail. The notes are only 1/2 inch wide and 9.5 inches long. Stickers hold the material well, if necessary they can be peeled off and moved. highlighted.

Beacons are fine, but sticky patches won't come off their backing. I've re-glued the tapes on some and Davis is sending me new patches. Other Davis products have served me well.

I can't believe I waited this long to add these to my sails. I have a 14 foot rigged dinghy that I am trying to learn to sail solo.

Take the time to apply them (and read up on how best to apply them to your sail) and they will help you improve the finish of your sail.

Davis has manufactured many popular nautical items and this is one of them. Tells are long enough for staysail and mainsail and the round bar washers are a good size and do the job well. If your sail is not clean, you should clean it with a soft cloth and some alcohol before attaching it.

Alarms are exactly what you need and they fit easily, smartly and securely into the adhesive disc slots. The only problem is that the "slippery" pad the discs rest on isn't slippery enough or peels off too easily. On some discs, the first layer of backing came off and could not be removed. Luckily there were far more hard drives than I needed (12 I think) so I didn't have any inconvenience.

While Davis is best known for their weather stations, they also make marine equipment. Davis Air-Flow Tels are the benchmark in the racing sailing world (at least in the smaller Olympic classes). They are durable and the stickers stick. The colors don't fade either. They attach to the leech and mainsail hulls, as well as the leech and staysail hulls to facilitate sail adjustment. I use them on my Club 420 soft water sailboat and DN hard water ice boat sails and they have never let me down.

They work well. Make sure you paste it where you want it the first time. Repositioning is not a good idea. I installed them on my mainsail and turned the Genoese staysail. I basically guessed where the best place to install them is. It would be nice to have some accommodation suggestions. As an advanced sailor, it would be nice to have a little less guesswork.
