It is not light but solid cast iron as I wanted. It's beautiful, really. We used to put bells on to keep the bathroom door open so our dog wouldn't get locked in, but this works much better. Only downside is my dog loves it and thinks it's his. CM.

This cute bird is too small/short to be used near the edge (unhinged) of my door, which is a traditional placement, but closer works great on the hinge edge. Makes me smile a little every time I use it. Also won't scratch or mar my door like other cast iron doorstops I've had in the past.

This decorative doorstop is charming. However, it doesn't hold open the standard interior bedroom door like I thought it would. It's easy enough to move around. I would not buy it again as I would like a heavier piece. The weight is only given in the product information, not in the general description. It's only 1 pound.

Maybe it would work for a very, very light carpeted door, but this cute bird just doesn't work as a doorstop.

This is quite small. It seems strong, but it's so small that it won't fit on a heavy door. It serves its purpose for what I wanted (keep the bedroom door open). Plus, it's so small that you can't see the design until you get really close. I think the price shouldn't be that high. But if you want a light door that stays open and you don't want to use ugly rubber stops, this will work.
