Deer Stags Drew Hiker Boot - Little Kid/Big Kid Review

We hike a lot and I needed to find something for my 7 year old son that was suitable for woods, rocks and trails. These boots are amazing. He has wide feet and it's hard to find a good fit and he can be very picky about shoes so I never know if he'll like shoes. but he loves these boots. From the first time he put them on, he was able to walk in them for a long time without pain in his feet, which immediately told me that this is a great purchase. This is the second pair we have received as the lanyard hook on the first pair broke when my child first put them on. Got a refund and a replacement hoping they would be of better quality the second time around. Of course I was wrong about that. Same thing happened today when he put them on for the first time. I'm sending them back for the second and last time. DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS!

We bought these for my son for his Gatlinburg vacation after graduation, he doesn't usually wear boots but I think in this case he does. He seems to like her very much.

Loved the value of this traveler. They are comfortable to wear, offer excellent stability when hiking and a good outsole. Better than some of the more expensive brands!

Recommend these boots if you don't want to spend $100 on kids shoes. Great price, very durable and comfortable. We took it to the mountains!

I love how tight I can make it around the ankles. It's actually pretty handy, especially after I've added the inserts. It's really tight so I'm glad I chose the 6 1/2 instead of my usual 6. If you get a slightly larger size than usual, even with a wide foot like mine, then you'll be fine. I wore them all day at the Renaissancefest and my feet don't hurt! I didn't have to worry about my ankles at all! Definitely recommend them.

The boots are great, especially for the price! Bought these for my 8 year old daughter as we are new to hiking and will be hiking a lot this year. She usually wears a size 2 so I ordered half a size up and they fit well. She wore them on a 4 mile hike today without damaging them at first and has had no complaints. They have good traction and their feet stayed warm and dry in 32 degrees as we went through mud and streams. Definitely recommend!

Sound reasonably well done. My son said they are comfortable. He carried them in camp and they survived. They were completely submerged in water and held together. Big bonus.

My son has worn them 2 times and today the metal hook came loose while wearing them. These things are so new they have almost no wear and tear which is disappointing. I do not recommend this.

Love these boots on second purchase but for some reason this order didn't last. My son only wore it 4 months and the top lace hook broke on one side as shown in the photos. Too late to go back but still, as with boots, it's just a shame this pair didn't last.

My son needed waterproof shoes for his upcoming vacation. Found them last minute and they were perfect. My son said they are very comfortable.

My kid loves these. They keep feet warm and dry (cold and very humid atmosphere). Sturdy shoe - easy to put on and take off (not too stiff). He wears longer socks, so the chance of blisters is minimal.

I had to order multiple sizes as they didn't increase at all from size 5-7Y. Seven eventually fitted, but he usually wears a size 6 in tall boots, so when using regular athletic socks, they were a smaller size. Size 7Y is closer to size 6Y. Order one. They stayed on their feet well for 7 hours as they were heavier; there were no scratches or blisters.

No worries. The boots were worn on a half hour hike in dry weather and when the foot was removed the lining came out. Hiking or non-hiking shoes should be worn for more than half an hour of hiking.

Bought these boots from Amazon for my daughter. A small piece of metal on the laces had snapped. It's not metal, it's cheap plastic. It's too late to return. I have worn them twice. I have contacted the company and they will send a replacement. I will update the review once I have a new pair

Our family went on an exciting summer trip visiting several state parks and doing many hiking tours in the Southwest United States. These are amazing boots for the price! My son loves them and they are much stronger than the ones he had before. We will buy them again when he outgrows them!

I love those! Turned up one day and luckily they made it because it snowed the next day. A son spent at least 1 1/2 hours there and his feet were warm and dry! We're using them for a hike tomorrow but I think they'll work great! I don't normally spend a lot of money on his shoes (he outgrows things so quickly) but we usually go hiking every weekend so I didn't mind spending money on them.

My 7 year old wore them on our last backpack and never complained. He didn't have time to break them in, but they were so durable and comfortable that he could pack miles every day and he never got blisters or sores. Great shoes and great price!

These boots are mostly water repellent and have a good profile. My 10 year old loves them. My son's feet are a bit wide and they fit him well and they have enough room to tighten the laces.
