Warning, only smaller diameter wire will fit

I originally had a set of FAST 180 degree wires and they didn't fit at all. Especially with that stupid metal ring in the way. But after switching to 135 degree Taylor wire, everything worked great! Too bad the engine isn't in the car yet lol. I'll let you know if they melt on my headers or not.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

not top quality but works

Decent quality but not strong enough to grab me headlines. As long as you twist the plugs' wires so they don't touch them, you won't have any problems - they'll fit larger plugs, but you'll have to stretch/remove the metal ring inside (these aren't solid rings). I decided to just remove them as it was a bit useless for my application

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not trendy

Spark plug wire protector

There are many brands of this product. They are woven from fiberglass. It takes some effort to put them on the wire and on the spark plug boot. Used primarily on hot rods where space is tight and there is a lot of heat from the exhaust manifolds. I'm trying them out on an expensive set of cables. I will report the results of their performance in the future. Protect your skin and lungs when working with fiberglass.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Clean

Can work with LSX forks

Will not fit LS1/LS3 connector wires as there is a metal ring on the bare end which is too small to fit on the side of the wire spool. I cut the wire with wire cutters and pulled it out. They will have a slight tear in the fabric afterwards, but they still work and cost 1/4 the price of the special LSX thermal boots, which look identical. works cheap for me. Good head protection

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some small things

A good thing. - Spare Parts

Ordered to solve problems with burning spark plug wires. They arrived as advertised and as described. I bought these instead of some of the others offered here because a previous review said they have rings that you can expand slightly to fit over 90 degree ruched boots. I can confirm that he or she was right. It was a quick and painless install on sbc so I'll be recommending it to some of my friends.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some Trouble

This is just what I needed to protect spark plug wires from my manifolds. I bought them a few months ago, installed them ASAP and have been driving my truck for 45 minutes every day for a few weeks now and they work great. No more burned wires causing errors. I'm glad I found them and for a low price. Recommend this to anyone having issues with their cables and burned headers.

Great for Vortec 8100 (8.1L 496) Plug Wires

Bought and fitted over the factory metal heat shields on my Vortec 8100 496 plug wires as I removed the exhaust manifold heat shields. These Male Wire Heat Shields easily slipped over existing metal heat shields/springs and even bypassed the angled connector with ease. Remember that the sewn end MUST NOT be the end above the fork. The ring end opposite the sewn end should be over the plug/duster. Great fit and seemingly well made product at an extremely affordable price. It's definitely worth…

Melted plug wire solution

I will buy this spark plug guard for all my 4 cars. I originally bought it for my '89 Mustang GT because all those fox bodied Mustangs generate a lot of heat which affects all the electrical components and wiring. However, I actually used them on my newly rebuilt engine for my 1991 4runner v6 whose spark plug wire design is very close to the elbows that the boots on the original spark plug wires melted, including some of the wire insulation. The trunk entrances have thick metal wire that is…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
