These lanterns CANNOT be strung on any other string. A plug for the wall is on one end and the other end is on the shell. It hasn't given me any problems BUT the Q&A says it can be used that way. I want to clarify that. They arrived safely and well packaged. I really like her!

I love these lights. In fact, these are fairy lights, each bulb is glued into the clam shell. They usually last about 1/2 year. Sometimes only the bulb goes out and the rest stays lit. You can't change a lightbulb without prying off the adhesive hinge housing, which most often breaks the housing. In other cases, the bulb will burn out and the entire filament will also go out. I keep buying replacement filaments as they are relatively cheap and genuine.
