You wouldn't think a small case holding eight SD cards would be "heavy", but the rubber holding the cards is VERY thick, bordering on lead. You can hurt someone by throwing it at them. It works, but for travel? I ended up leaving it at home and going with a cheap zippered case that weighed a tenth of this thing. I used to have a compact flash card sleeve and liked it for its durability and the fact that I could hold the card securely and in place. Having upgraded my camera and it now requires an SD card, I wanted to get another case that does the same thing. This case will not disappoint you. The case is strong and durable and holds the card very securely. It fits in my camera bag and I know my maps are kept in one place and I don't have to look for them anymore because those little things can get lost

After a few not so positive experiences with my data, this device has helped me keep my cards safe and organized so I don't lose valuable data in critical situations. This is a very light but very strong case. It's not small enough to fit in a jean pocket, but it doesn't take up much space and doesn't add much weight to the rider's load, even when full.

Like other reviewers, I've found that cards won't stay where you put them, causing either the cards to get mixed up or fall apart, when you open the case. *sigh* On the plus side, the cards seem to be well protected while inside. This is probably an overstatement as the case is fairly solid and the SD cards are physically strong enough that this case will likely live safely in a camera bag anyway. I would happily trade most of it for an organizer holding the cards. Spring. organized.
