Fuel pump replacement

Works as described. If you have a rusty high mileage truck, you may need to cut the quick disconnect off the old pump and use o-rings or replace the fuel line as well. I didn't want to risk causing more problems. 06 Chevrolet Silverado ยฃ2,500 400,000 miles.

Worked 2 months and stopped working.

Hey, a lot of things have flaws. Something in the truck's fuel system must not fail. I mean it cost like $250 and I really wanted more life than that. Also my truck broke down 50 miles from home. All my tools are in the farmhouse so I had to haul them to the farmhouse. I exchanged it and did not check for warranty. too busy installing a new AC DElco fuel pump.

Maybe I was unlucky, although dropping the tank is not interesting.

I replaced a rusted block which I believe was originally for dmax. 265,000km. I had about 2500 km in it. The original unit read the fuel level correctly, but it doesn't. In most cases it is fixed at Full, sometimes it is fixed at E with the low fuel indicator lit. I might have been unlucky, although it's not fun to drop the tank, so I don't care why it doesn't work properly. In hindsight I wish I had cleaned the top of the unit thoroughly, painted it and sealed it somehow, at least then I could
