Demco 5975 Steering Wheel Strap Review

Unfortunately the warranty expired before we used this product (our fault for waiting so long to try it) and it broke on second use .

This is a joke. The hooks are too small probably for anything that came out in the 1980's, cheap strap material, cheap plastic buckle which I don't see why anyone can trust a human life and it's too short to be useful. $43 for that junk?

Purchased for our 2020 Kia Telluride FWD with push button start (non-lock steering column) with 2 wheel trailer. The design was exactly what I was looking for. I'm not a proponent of using others that attach to the brake pedal. My issue was that the bottom hook strap was too short to reach/hook into the driver's seat rails. As always, Revane's return was easy. I ended up developing my own solution.

The belt is too expensive for what it is. The hooks for attaching to the seat frame were too large to accommodate any of the points on my Chev's seat frame track. Sound. I had to buy additional hardware to make it work. On a 400 mile ride I had to tighten the strap 3 times to make sure the handlebars didn't move. The only plus of this belt is that it does not scratch or scratch the steering wheel.

We purchased this strap to hold the steering wheel of our Scion iA when being towed on a two wheeled cart with the rear wheels of the car on the ground and the front wheels on the cart. The Scion starts with a button and the steering wheel does not engage with a key like in cars, so it is very important to ensure the security of the steering.
