For a first time brewer, the kit simplifies the cider making process. It provided everything necessary from start to finish. However, the instructions indicated that the cider would clear within seven days. It's been over 45 days, and the cider is still not clear. I've been contemplating the addition of fining agents used in wine making to help the process along.

The first batch of cider was tasty. Unfortunately, the fermenter cracked at the spout and started leaking about two days into my second batch leading to a horrible loss of soon-to-be cider.Replacement part was $40, so I bought a whole new Mr. Beer cider kit instead for the same price. Hopefully, the Mr. Beer will last longer.

Package arrived quickly and with all of the contents shown in the picture. The kit is easy to use and the conical style is helpful when bottling. The trub sinks to the bottom and is below the level of the spigot.The kit comes with the base Forbidden Fruit(regular apple cider) mix.
