Perfect fit and problem solving

O2 sensor is about $20 less than parts store, fits perfectly and solves my engine check code for a faulty O2 sensor. One of the very nice things about the Denso gauge was the copper anti-seize compound that came with the gauge. Here's a hack to remove that old sensor or rusty screw. Equal parts by volume of acetone and automatic transmission fluid. I painted it on the old sensor with liquid, waited 10 minutes and the old sensor came out easier than unscrewing the candle. Another note, the…

Denso O2 Sensor on Parts

Our Honda Odyssey had both the TCS and Check Engine lights on. Then the engine started to rough, sometimes with the air conditioning on, and at a signal it stopped the engine cut out. So when I was driving alone, I left the AC off just in case. Even when driving without air conditioning, we saw a significant reduction in fuel consumption (mpg). It was almost half the journey to the full tank that I used to fill up with. So we borrowed an OBD2 reader from our friend and checked the code. It was…

My Acura 2000 TL is breathing again

I bought a downstream Denso 234-4621 I replaced the lambda sensors on my Acura 2000 TL V6. Not only were they terrible, burnt and rusty (especially upstream), they had never been changed in 16 years. My car is like new. The original sensors that came with the car were actually from the Denso brand, so it's a true OEM. It was an easy setup, you just need to know where the two sensors are. Use jacks (not just jacks) to get under it and use the special oxygen sensor port to get it out. Apply some…

LEGIT A LIFESAVER - Spare Parts

This is a Denso UPSTRAM oxygen sensor that fits my 2000 Honda Accord v6 3.0 flex hose. I've done some flex pipe work and my guess is that the original sensor was shorted or something and was getting voltage above 1.0 each time and throwing a code. Normal voltage for O2 sensors should be moving and not stagnant at high voltage. The graphic after I installed the new sensor and started spinning a little. The new sensor is also slightly smaller than the original, so don't worry about gap issues if…
